How Film Blowing Works
One film blowing machine turns plastic pellets into continuous film rolls.
One film blowing machine is a complete extrusion line: plastic pellets are melted in a screw extruder, forced through a circular die, and inflated into a film bubble. An air ring cools the bubble, nips and flattens it, then the winder rolls the film at a constant tension.
The result is a continuous roll of film ready for printing, bag making, lamination or direct sale — from the same production hall.

01What is a film blowing machine?
A film blowing machine (blown film extrusion line) melts plastic pellets and inflates them through a circular die into a film bubble, then cools, flattens and winds the film into rolls. It is the first machine in a plastic bag or packaging production line.
02What is the difference between monolayer and multi-layer film blowing machines?
A monolayer machine extrudes a single layer of one material. Multi-layer co-extrusion machines (ABA, ABC, 3-layer, 5-layer) combine several layers in one die head for barrier properties, strength and printability without lamination. ABA uses two extruders for three layers; ABC uses three extruders for three layers.
